Daniel!!! I am RIGHT...HERE! LOL

I am checking out an artist I found out about last month.  Marc Ronson is featuring him on his single, "Stop Me" (check that out too)!  His name is Daniel Merriweather!  From Australia, I am not sure how long he has been around but he sounds good to me!  :)   I am posting his single "City Blues" for you to check out.  Look for this dude!  Not only does he sounds good, he is not bad on the eyes (Ladies!). Too bad he looks 12!  LOL!Big Smile

Where Have You Been!

Hey!  What's going on?  Not a lot here.  Still taking care of my family and friends.  Still working like I know nothing else.  I have few ventures under way.  I have created a couple of BF/WM designs for us interracial relationship lovers! Wink

You know I had to do something to help me support my iTunes habit!  LOL!  I am going to try to add posts more frequently now.  Sharing is one of my favorite things to do...especially sharing music.

Before I go, I thought I would share this new song I have been listening to.  Definitely right in line with my dating preference!  It is a song that speaks to two people coming together no matter their colors or backgrounds... in other words, Love Conquers All! Check it out!

Updates For Ya!

Well, it has been about 4 months since I have written here.  Of course, the last thing I wrote was about shopping...my current true love!  LOL!  Unfortunately, things remain the same here.  Still have not run into my partner...of course, I have not been looking much either!  I had met what I thought was a nice guy but he too has fallen into the lot of men who cannot seem to tell the truth to save their lives.  I won't get into what happened but he knows who he is and what he did...and even more importantly, He (as in the Lord Above) knows what he did.

My family life is good.  I am so grateful for (most of) them...but especially my little buddy (too bad he can't read!)  LOL!

I think yesterday (the 23rd) hit me hard as far as partners and soulmates are concerned since it was the 15th anniversary of my uncle's death.  He and my aunt were the prime examples of soulmates in my life and they seemed to have the type of relationship/marriage that deep inside I still long for.   (I am glad this is not a want that consumes my life or I would probably be a complete wreck right now.)  I wrote about my aunt and uncle in an earlier post.  And it is as true today as it was when I wrote it, my aunt STILL has not even as much as looked at another man.  My uncle was her soulmate, her true love.  That space can never be filled by anyone else to her.

I still wonder if there is a soulmate for each person and are there some lucky folks who have more than one.

My career is going well.  I have a new job with the same company...MUCH less stress and BS...that is ALWAYS a good thing.  I actually have the time to date and spend with someone if I wanted to...of course, there is no one to spend that time with!  LOL!  What a vicious circle!

I am trying to stay hopeful but I know it is not getting any easier as the days pass.   I am curious if anyone else is having the difficulty I am.  I am beginning to believe that finding your soulmate when you date interracially is getting harder by the day!

I often get emails from folks from all over the world thanks to this blog...I am hoping someone will email me and reassure my hope that love is truly possible!  Let me know if you have been successful in finding your soulmate.

Help Find A Marine's Sister!

It is not often that I post things that are circulated to me.  I rarely send out chain emails or the like...but when I saw this email today at work, I was compeled to send it out.  When I saw that her brother is a member the brotherhood known as the US Marines, I stopped what I was doing to post this message.  It is NOT a hoax...if you know any one in the New Hampshire/Vermont/Boston, MA area, PLEASE pass this on.

Hi all-

You know that I never bother you with forwards or fill your inboxes with messages asking you to send something on to the next 20 people in 5 minutes so please realize that this e-mail is not another mass forward...Its important because it involves my cousin and maybe you can help.

My cousin Laura didn't come home from high school on March 8th and she has been missing since that time.  She is a senior, relatively quiet and it appeared that her biggest concern when I saw her on March 5th was what college she was planning to attend.  This is truly not in her character and everyone in my family is confused and upset.  Maybe she is overwhelmed with her senior year or her relationship with her boyfriend but to me, she is not someone who would seek attention in this way.  Her brother is in the Marines in Iraq and she already knows what anxiety her parents are experiencing and I really do not believe that she would add to it.  Granted, maybe this situation may end fine but the police have been investigating for over a week and they have no leads and still have not been able to find her.

Maybe this is a long shot but I don't know what to do in this situation.  Especially since she lives in New Hampshire, I feel helpless to this situation.  Especially if you know anyone or went to college with anyone from the NH, VT, Boston area, can you please pass along this e-mail and link to her site with info.  Who knows- I can't help but try....It has her picture and contact info.

Personal Discovery

I think I may have found the fatal flaw.  I can be one of the most patient people you will meet.  Rush hour traffic does not bother me.  Long lines at the store?  No problem.  I even offer my differing opinion to the complaining fusspots in line.  Children I have the most patience for.  The thing/people that I don't have patience with seem to be those in my romantic life.

Maybe it is a product of my results-driven career but I seem to have less and less time for the men in my life.  For me, I can pretty much tell from the start if something or someone is what I want to invest my time in.  So if an interest is expressed to me but not acted upon for 3 or 4 weeks, you can pretty much bet my interest has waned...probably to an irreversable nothing.  Basically, I would like an interest shown or at least my possible interest being "kept warm".  But I know that takes work.  Something that a lot of folks don't want to do.

Maybe that is because to me it shows indecisiveness and a lack of passion.  A few of my girlfriends and I have had this conversation lately about the general lack of passion in the world.

I don't think I ask for much.  I have waited this long for the right (or closest to right) guy to come along.  Personally, I would rather stay alone than know that the guy next to me has settled for me and I don't want to settle for him either.  Maybe the problem is that I make up my mind too early in the midst of things but I have learned not to put my feelings or time into something without some indication that I will get the same in return.  Personally, I could not sit on a decision for a month or two and then come back thinking things have not changed.  It doesn't work that way.  Am I wrong about that?  Maybe...but wrong works for me.

I Smiled...

Today began as a hard day.

I was supposed to work from home which I did until about 11:30am when the resident evil known as Time Warner Cable had an outage in my area.  There went my internet!  I gave them 30 minutes to get things back online after I reported...at Noon, I had NOTHING BUT STATIC!  So there I go, getting dressed and heading out to Panera Bread.  The first Panera was slam packed...so I go to the one near my old place.  Busy but not packed...folks grabing the grub and heading out...left me a primo table in the corner.  The guy at the counter hooked me up with lunch...thank you dear!  More spending money for the weekend.

Now I am neck deep in working and working hard when a gray Jeep Cherokee pulls into a parking space near my window and catches my eye.  Out of the Jeep comes a cute older man...maybe about 65.  He had gray hair and a face that carried remnants of great attractiveness peppered with lines of experience.  I wondered to myself just how handsome was he "back in the day".  I watched as he walked around to the passenger side of the Jeep and opened the door.  Out popped the cutest little lady.  She probably was a little younger than the driver but seemed to walk with her own personal spotlight.  She was absolutely beaming.  The driver shut the door, hit the remote lock and instinctively reached for the woman's hand.  They made their way toward the door...hand in hand...talking...smiling...laughing a little...engulfed in their own spotlight of warmth and love.  He held open the door and escorted her, her hand in the crook of his arm, to the counter where they disappeared from my sight.  I sat there...a little overwhelmed at how beautiful and wonderful that sight was to me.  I caught a slight smile on my face that apparently had moved in sometime during my voyeuristic episode.

It made me think how great that would be to have that kind of love and respect for someone else and from someone else in my life...shucks...in ANYONE'S life.  It's funny how two complete strangers...totally oblivious to my existance...made such a HUGE impression on my day...on my way of thinking!  Just lets you know that you never know who sees you...you never know what kind of an impact you are making.  So as you stomp through life...add a smile to your face.  Hold that door open for the next person.  Acknowledge graciously that there is a world outside of your arm's length.  Have joy and share it!    And to think...

...today began as a hard day.
